Case Study: Exterior Masonry Redecoration in St Austell

Project Overview

This exterior masonry redecoration project was completed in September, focusing on restoring and protecting the building’s façade. The goal was to achieve a clean, long-lasting finish while ensuring the masonry remained well-protected against the elements.

The Transformation

The masonry was thoroughly prepped using a fungicidal wash to eliminate any organic growth, followed by repairs with Toupret Masonry Fillers to restore damaged areas.

For the paint system, Dulux Trade Exterior Weathershield Brilliant White and Black were used to create a striking and durable finish. Johnstone’s Sol Silicate provided additional breathability and protection, while Bedec MSP Soft Satin was chosen for a refined, weather-resistant coating. All paints were supplied by Brewers Paints in St Austell.

The Result

The building’s exterior now looks refreshed and well-maintained, with a crisp, clean appearance that enhances its character. The combination of high-performance coatings ensures long-lasting durability, protecting the masonry from weathering while maintaining an elegant finish.
